Singing, dancing and shining kinetic sculpture in tribute to Marilyn Monroe and the finacial crisis. diam:120cm x h:205cm
It is through the archetypal image of Marilyn Monroe's famous dress that the work takes shape, half building - half wedding cake which comes alive with lights under the 300 silicone jellies, wandering somewhat at random and singing the famous tribute of the drunken Marilyn to her overly powerful lover.
Les artistes vont questionner leur thèmes favoris ( le destin des icônes pour Peter Keene, le sur-puissant féminin pour Piet.sO) dans cet exercice Inspired by the luminous animation of the facades of the Dexia tower in Brussels (European banking group now Belfius Banque & Assurances) - an animation that was reduced to almost extinction with the financial crisis of 2009 and the bankruptcy of the group, the sculpture "Happy birthday Mr President" by Piet.sO and Peter Keene appears as the allegory of the Crisis par excellence. Crisis of gluttony, dream machine of comfort for all that is failing.
